The Attention Homes' After-School Learning Center

• Supplements basic regular education services which are currently provided to many young people in our community.
  
• Offers evidence-based academic instruction and support, social skills training, and clinical services to these students after school.
  
• Provides full-time knowledgeable, experienced staff who work directly with the students and provide case management, transition monitoring, comprehensive reporting, and community coordination services.
  
• Provides intensive, evidence-based reading instruction to the students who demonstrate a need for significant reading improvement.
  
• Allows young people to receive comprehensive education and intensive therapeutic services while remaining in their homes.
  
• Continues to support students after they return to public school, until they are ultimately released from the system.
  
  
  

Each child's individual treatment plan may include:

Transportation to and from school
Academic tutoring
Intensive reading instruction
Individual Counseling therapy
Group counseling therapy
Parent engagement activities
Life skills / Independent living skills training
Community service opportunities
Lessons in the arts, music, theater, or fitness
Character Education
Goal setting / Self-efficacy
